Avis Sweden first partnered with Northe in 2022 to simplify driving electric cars and make it easier for customers to choose an electric car. One year later in 2023, Avis Denmark decided to also partner with Northe. Today, Avis Norway and Northe have partnered to make it easier for customers to travel between the countries.

Avis Car Rental is one of the world’s most well-known car rental brands, with approximately 5,100 locations in around 170 countries. With their initiative called GoGreen, customers renting a car with Avis are guaranteed an environmentally friendly car. 

The partnership means that Avis Norway customers can charge their electric rental cars with Northe throughout the Nordic region. Avis Norway’s partnership with Northe is a part of Avis’ ambitious goal to half its emissions by 2025. Since Avis has partnered with Northe, their electric fleets have charged 207.000 KwH, which corresponds to 1 million driven kilometres in total by using the Northe solution.

Northe is a leading digital all-in-one solution for electric vehicle charging and managing fleet administration. Northe’s innovative platform offers access to over 550,000 charging points in 19 European countries. Through Northe’s broad collaboration with multiple charging operators and innovative technology for easier connection, Avis can offer its customers a complete solution.

The collaboration enables Avis Norway customers to charge anywhere by simply using one single charging tag. When the car is picked up from Avis Norway rental stations, the customer gets the charging tag on a keychain to charge the car at all connected charging stations, regardless of the provider. The customers can use Northe to find charging stations, compare prices, and pay for charging without having to register accounts with different charging operators. The cost of charging is then added to the final invoice for the rental period.
